We are the Sydney chapter of Girl Geek Dinners, but wanted to use a name that encompasses the fact that we do other stuff aside from just holding girl geek dinners. In a nutshell, Girl Geek Sydney is a group of like-minded women in tech who want to get to know other women in tech.

Girl Geeks is a community offering support, networking and mentorship to women involved in technology and the web
Girl Geeks believe that women do not always receive fair or equal opportunities and are dedicated to changing that situation
Girl Geeks do not discriminate on the basis of gender, sexuality, age, race, religion or programming language
Girl Geeks encourage women to be fiercely, passionately outspoken but are committed to helping the voices of the quiet, the shy and the n00b to be heard
